PRODUCER, ENGINEER, MIXER, MASTERING ENGINEER, SONGWRITER, INSTRUMENTALIST, GUITAR EXTRAORDINAIRE

Grady James

The phrase “He can do it all,” comes to mind when you hear about Grady James’ accomplishments. Not only is he an established producer with a signature sound influenced by industry leaders such as Jay Joyce, Joey Moi, and Dan Huff, but he is also a developed guitar player, drummer, banjo player, songwriter, engineer, mixer and mastering engineer. There is very little he can’t do!

Grady honed his craft at The Musicians Institute in LA, California, where, at the top of his class, he earned a degree in guitar performance. Shortly thereafter, Grady made the leap and decided to take all of his talents and knowledge to Music City. When he stepped foot into Nashville, James hit the ground running and made a name for himself as a performer, songwriter, session musician, and, you guessed it, a producer. It didn’t take long for word to get out that Grady had opened a studio; the phone started ringing off the hook.

Grady quickly fell into a writing circle and met Gyth Rigdon (Season 16 runner-up on NBC's “The Voice”) They began collaborating, and Grady produced Rigdon’s first full length album. A few years later their song "Proof I've Always Loved You" was performed by Gyth on the season finale of The Voice. It quickly made its way onto six Billboard charts, reaching the top of the country chart and earning Grady his first #1 hit. That same year, Grady was nominated for Best Male Vocalist of the Year and Best New Country Band of the Year at the Coachella Valley Music Awards. To nobodies surprise, Grady walked away with both awards that year.

James has continued producing and releasing his own music, as well as working with clients like rock band “Clear the Benches,” Alabama country artist Caleb Mills, and Canadian country artist Danielle Todd. Between performing on the road with his band, and as a guitar player for multiple country a-listers, Chris Bandi, Clare Dunn and Brandon Lay, he continued to stretch his skills as a producer in his studio. His productions have garnered millions of streams.

In 2021, Grady took Studio45b to new heights by building a state-of-the-art studio from scratch on his property. The studio officially reopened in late 2022, featuring top-of-the-line audio technology, and kickass production (if we do say so ourselves).

OPERATIONS MANAGER, SINGER/SONGWRITER, VOCAL PRODUCTION QUEEN, ANGEL FROM ABOVE

Danielle Todd

Growing up in a musical household, Canadian country singer/songwriter Danielle Todd learned the ins and outs of the industry from a young age. She eventually made the move to Nashville, where she cut her teeth day in and day out performing on Music City’s main attraction, Broadway, and working with producer Grady James to develop her signature "western pop-country" sound, combining elements of pop/soul, rock, and classic country.

In addition to her own music, Danielle is a prized asset here at Studio45b. Not only does she take care of all things “behind the scenes",” she also excels in vocal production and lessons with our clients. She uses her extensive vocal and harmony knowledge, as well as her artistic ear, to help her artists reach new heights. Danielle has a knack for teaching her clients creative techniques and vocalizations on the spot while also helping them find their confidence in the studio and on stage. Todd always strives for knowledge, and continues working alongside her own vocal coaches and harmony coaches to ensure that she is always improving and bringing her artists the most innovative and reliable vocal techniques on the market.

When she's not in the recording booth, Danielle is the go-to person for all things studio-related. With a laid-back approach and a willingness to help with anything, she makes the recording process a breeze for all of our clients. She’s a talented artist, a super vocal coach, and a cool hang.
